I remember when I was that age that age pretty much EVERYTHING was some form of gun anyway. A staple gun, a stick, a 2X4, etc. Not that I wouldn't have loved having this stuff as well.

I've seen a kid that wasn't allowed war toys, and wasn't allowed to watch TV, bite a potato chip into the shape of a gun and run around shooting people with it. HA! His mom was mortified! As if you could ever stop this kind of behavior.

I wonder how many kids who got this shit later got killed in Vietnam? I've read that something like 70% of the casualties in Vietnam were volunteers. So how many kids got all "Gung-ho" to join the Marines or Army in the early 60s after being fed this stuff during the 50s? I'm just sayin'. . .

I wasn't allowed to play with toy guns as a kid which made playing with toy guns TOTALLY AWESOME. It's the ol' forbidden fruit routine. I don't think playing with guns had anything to do with how I turned out.
