What is very surprising with some animals is that they trust you when you're trying to heal them. I've got tons of cats and dogs, and sometimes, i've got to "hurt" them in order to fix stuff like removing shards from their feet, or even doing them injections when they suffered from infections (most a them were coming from the streets). They've never ever being aggressive towards me when i've performed this. They weren't happy, but they stand still, in total trust. I don't know if they knew i was doing those stuff for their good.

^I know what you mean, just from my two kitties.

I'm happy to see such kindness and compassion to ameliorate some of the damage done by such life-abusing human trash. Seeing the poor dog's injuries at the beginning of video made me tear up.

Watching this video, I don't think about those "life-abusing human trash". I prefer focusing on those people that try to fix things at their level. Concerning the dog, of course, it's pretty bad, but bad things happen, and surviving such thing can make you stronger, as long as you have supports (and I know what i'm talking about even if i've not been severed )

My dog, Jake, had his front left leg removed due to cancer.

Story goes: in Jake's zeal to chase down some evil squirrels, he broke that same leg. The vet spotted cancer on the x-ray. Thankfully, it had not spread to his lungs, which, as I understand it, is the first place you look when you spot cancer anywhere. That was late summer 2005 when he was 10.

He turns 14 in November and he still gets a fairly clean bill of health, despite some breathing trouble for which he takes medicine.

Jake is well aware that he only has 3 legs and he falls from time to time but he's worked out a "fall system" on his own. When he knows he's falling, he points his chin up and absorbs the blow with his chest. It's fairly harmless. He's a good pooch.

Wow, shuac, similar story to my previous dog, Hudson. He was a German Shepard that lost his left front leg to a fibrous tumor. He did really well for another year or two when his hips went and he just could not survive on one leg.

I still miss him.
